Bitcoin on November 4, 2026: daily brief and outlook

Overnight brief · Nov 4, 12:45 AM ET · price at release $77,409Two briefs a day: overnight at 12:30 AM ET and in the morning at 9:00 AM ET, half an hour before the US stock market opens

Overnight, as of 12:40 AM ET, Bitcoin traded near $77,400: up 0.9% over 24 hours within a $75,736–78,063 range.

  • While the US slept, the first midterm results showed Democrats taking both chambers of Congress and the price dropped to $75,740, its lowest since Sep 17, before recovering $1,700 by the European morning.
  • Nasdaq-100 futures were down about 1.9%, the Nikkei lost 3.5%, and the dollar and Treasury yields fell as the market priced in tougher oversight of tech and the end of hopes for the CLARITY Act.
  • The base case for the next 24 hours is sideways at $75,500–78,500 (45%): the overnight low was bought, but ETFs have been selling for a fifth day, and the 9:30 AM ET US open with futures falling could bring the pressure back.

$75,500–$78,500

The overnight dip to $75,740 was bought within two hours: the 50-week average at $75,586 and the short-term holder cost basis of $75,892 worked as support, and by 12:40 AM ET the price was back above the 200-day EMA at $76,739. There is no leverage: funding is at the base 0.01%, open interest is down 0.8% over 24 hours, and the squeeze index has shifted toward shorts. Polymarket's median for Thursday, $77,425, with a range of $76,175–78,944, almost matches the corridor; DVOL at 38.7 implies a ±$1,570 move, and max pain at $77,000 on today's and tomorrow's expiries keeps the price nearby. Against it: Nasdaq-100 futures down 1.9% ahead of the US open.

Pullback · 33%
$73,000–$75,500

Sellers have not gone away: ETFs pulled money for a fifth straight day ($1.16 billion over three sessions), stablecoins shrank by $12 billion over the month, and the Coinbase premium has been negative for a fourth day. A Democratic Congress buries CLARITY and promises investigations into crypto businesses, and it was on that news that Bitcoin set a 7-week low. If the Nasdaq opens down 2% at 9:30 AM ET and ADP and ISM do not change the picture, a repeat of the overnight move with a break of $75,740 opens the 200-day SMA at $73,163 and the $74,000 zone, where the heaviest Nov 6 puts sit; the Nov 27 skew has already moved to −5.5 points. Fractals on the two-week window give a median of −8.2%.

Breakout · 22%
$78,500–$80,500

The 7-week low was set on political news, not fresh selling: Binance volume did not rise, OI fell, long liquidations at the bottom happened ($3.0 million in a single order), and in the last hour shorts were already burning ($3.9 million). The dollar and yields are falling, historically a tailwind for Bitcoin, and a weak ADP (forecast +65K) would strengthen bets on a Fed pause in December. ETF outflows slowed to $116 million, and if Wednesday's data comes in positive, a return to the $79,000 max pain of Friday's expiry and the EMA20 at $79,650 is possible as early as today; above that, $80,500 and the calls at $82,000.

What to watch today
  • US market open at 9:30 AM ET: Nasdaq-100 futures −1.9%, S&P 500 −1.1% on the election results
  • October ADP employment at 8:15 AM ET (forecast +65K); trade balance and Treasury refunding announcement at 8:30 AM ET
  • October ISM services at 10:00 AM ET (forecast 54.8–56, prices index 74.0 the month before)
  • Election results: the Michigan count and the final Senate seat tally, Trump's reaction
  • Deribit expiry on 5,022 BTC (max pain $77,000) at 3:00 AM ET (08:00 UTC)
  • Spot BTC ETF flows for Wednesday, in the US afternoon, after five days of outflows
  • Daily candle close at 7:00 PM ET (00:00 UTC): above or below the 200-day EMA at $76,740
  • Oil and Iran: Tehran's response to the strike on Qeshm Island; jobless claims and Fed speakers on Thursday
This is not investment advice. The forecast is recorded at release and never edited: 24 hours later it is checked in the “Accuracy” section.

  • The 50-week average at $75,586 and the short-term holder cost basis of $75,892 (as of Oct 28) held the overnight test: the $75,736 low landed between them, and that is exactly where buyers returned.Binance

  • Polymarket bets for Thursday, Nov 5, imply a median price of $77,425 with an interquartile range of $76,175–78,944 and a 50.3% chance that Bitcoin is above the current price: the prediction market expects the same sideways move as our base case, with no skew.Polymarket
