Strategy bought 811 BTC at an average $80,846 on Oct. 26–Nov. 1, lifting holdings to 849,327 BTC, and spent $208.2M repurchasing STRC preferred shares, per its 8-K.

Strategy bought 811 BTC for $65.5 million between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, 2026, according to an 8-K filing submitted to the SEC on Monday, Nov. 2. The average purchase price was $80,846 per coin, and total holdings rose to 849,327 BTC. In the same week the company spent $208.2 million repurchasing its STRC preferred shares.
Details
The purchases were funded by selling MSTR common stock under the at-the-market program: 1,178,552 shares were sold for net proceeds of $164.0 million. Of that, $65.5 million went to bitcoin and another $98.5 million was added to the company's "USD Cash" balance. No STRF, STRK, STRD or STRC shares were sold.
Cumulative spending on bitcoin, including fees, is about $64.08 billion at an average of $75,451 per coin. A week earlier, for Oct. 19–25, Strategy made no bitcoin purchases, with holdings at 848,517 BTC.
The STRC buyback covered 2,092,035 shares for $208.2 million; nothing else was repurchased. About $748.6 million remains under the preferred-stock repurchase program and $1.0 billion under the MSTR program. The buyback was paid from USD Cash, which stood at $132.7 million on Nov. 1. The separate USD Reserve, which backs preferred dividends and debt interest, was $4.79 billion after $43.4 million was used for dividends during the week.
What it means for the market
This is Strategy's first bitcoin purchase in two weeks, after it skipped the previous week. At 811 BTC the buy is modest, but it shows the company is again raising money through MSTR common stock to add to its holdings while it buys back STRC.
The week's average price of $80,846 is above the $75,451 average cost of the whole stack. For the live price see the daily brief; more on bitcoin is on the BTC page. This is not investment advice.
