Canton Strategic to Start Trading Tokenized Shares Nov. 2
Nasdaq-listed Canton Strategic Holdings (CNTN) plans to launch trading of tokenized shares on Canton Network with TSV and Fairmint from Nov. 2, 2026.

Nasdaq-listed Canton Strategic Holdings (CNTN) said on Oct. 29, 2026 that it plans to begin trading tokenized versions of its common stock on the Canton Network on Monday, Nov. 2. The plan was laid out in a company press release issued at 8:30 AM ET.
Details
Trading will run on TSV LLC (Tokenized Securities Venue) through an automated market maker built on the Tradecraft protocol, with atomic settlement: payment and tokens swap in a single step. Fairmint, an SEC-registered onchain transfer agent, will keep the ownership records. According to the release, the tokens carry the same rights as CNTN shares on Nasdaq, and trading is 24/7, subject to regulatory halts and maintenance.
Every participant goes through identity verification and sanctions screening, and smart contracts check approval rules on each token transfer. The company points to the SEC's Sept. 17 innovation exemption (Release No. 34–106402), which allows tokenized NMS stocks on the Canton Network. The release does not say how many shares will be tokenized. Cointelegraph reports the company raised $545 million and has a market cap of about $170 million. Nov. 2 is an expected date, not a started trade, as Crypto Briefing notes.
CEO Mark Wendland said: "Tokenization creates more efficient access to equity markets for investors and greater transparency for issuers."
What it means for the market
This is an issuer-sponsored model: the company itself stands behind the tokenized version of its stock, rather than a third party wrapping it. If the launch happens on schedule, it will be an early practical test of the SEC's new regime.
