Details
Fidelity's FBTC led bitcoin redemptions at $199.9 million, followed by BlackRock's IBIT ($105 million), Grayscale's GBTC ($49.9 million), Franklin Templeton's EZBC ($32.9 million) and ARK 21Shares' ARKB ($18.9 million). The outflows came on a day of heavy equity selling. CryptoSlate reports the S&P 500 lost about $3 trillion in market value and the Nasdaq 100 had its steepest daily drop since 2020. Bitcoin the same day fell about 5% from above $80,000. Trackers can differ slightly; our own data is on the ETF flows page.
What It Means for Markets
Large redemptions from FBTC and IBIT suggest institutions cut risk alongside equities. One session does not make a trend, but continued outflows would keep pressure on the price. For the latest bitcoin price, see the daily brief.
