Key facts
Rates vary by pair: BTC/USDT spot is 0% / 0.05%, most altcoins charge 0.08% taker, and some pairs are fee-free. BTC and ETH futures are 0% / 0.02%, and many contracts are 0% / 0%. Paying fees in MX tokens gives a discount.
About
Founded in 2018, MEXC competes on fast listings and low fees. Its API lists around 1,500 spot assets — more than Binance, Bybit or KuCoin — which makes it popular with traders hunting for new tokens.
Fees are among the lowest around: 0% maker on spot and futures, with BTC taker fees of 0.05% on spot and 0.02% on futures. You can trade without KYC, subject to a 10 BTC daily withdrawal cap. Russia is not on its restricted list, and RUB P2P is active.
The trade-off is weak regulation. MEXC holds no confirmed licences, and in May 2026 the Seychelles regulator announced enforcement action against MX Global Ltd for operating without a licence. Early listings also mean plenty of illiquid, speculative tokens.
Pros
- Largest asset list of the four — around 1,500 coins
- 0% maker fees on spot and futures
- Trading without KYC (withdrawals up to 10 BTC a day)
- Available to Russian residents, with RUB P2P
- $100M Guardian Fund and monthly PoR
Cons
- No confirmed licences; the Seychelles regulator took action against its operator in May 2026
- Warnings from regulators in several countries
- Many speculative, thinly traded tokens
- Altcoin taker fee of 0.08%, above the headline rate
Verification (KYC)
You can trade without KYC: unverified withdrawals are capped at 10 BTC per 24 hours (1,000 USDT or less in some countries). Fiat, P2P and the full set of bonuses require verification.
For users in Russia
Russia is not on the list of prohibited jurisdictions in MEXC's user agreement (version of 29 May 2025; only Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine are excluded). RUB P2P is active: on 7 October 2026 there were live USDT/RUB ads. MEXC has made no official statement restricting Russia. Russia's law on digital currencies (passed by the State Duma on 21 July 2026, in force from 1 September 2026) requires residents to trade crypto only through intermediaries registered with the Bank of Russia from 1 July 2027; banks are to block payments to unregistered platforms.
Security
No major MEXC hacks were found in leading crypto media. In June 2025 the exchange set up a $100M Guardian Fund with public wallet addresses, and it publishes monthly proof of reserves (August 2026: BTC 288%, USDT 115%).
