Schroders Puts Emerging Market Bond Fund on Solana
Schroders and Centrifuge launched a tokenized emerging market bond fund on Solana, the $1.1 trillion asset manager's first deployment on the network.

Asset manager Schroders has put a tokenized emerging market bond fund on the Solana blockchain. The launch went live on Nov. 4 with the Centrifuge platform, The Block reports. It is Schroders' first deployment on the network.
Details
The product is built on the Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bond strategy, an actively managed portfolio of sovereign, corporate and local-currency debt. According to Solana Compass, a separate share class has been tokenized and works as a feeder into the existing strategy. It trades under the ticker SISF on Centrifuge, FinanceFeeds says.
Marita McGinley, Schroders' head of operations for APAC and digital assets, said the firm is tokenizing this specific investment strategy and issuing it on Solana. The Block notes the move takes tokenization beyond cash and short-term instruments into complex, actively managed strategies.
The sources do not give the fund's size. Dealing terms, including who can subscribe and from which jurisdictions, the minimum investment and fees, sit in the fund's own documentation. Schroders manages about $1.1 trillion overall, and Centrifuge has more than $750 million of tokenized assets on its platform.
What this means for the market
Another large traditional manager is picking Solana for tokenized funds; JPMorgan launched its own product on the network earlier. For the network it means a larger share of real-world assets, while the sources name no direct effect on the SOL price. More on the coin is on the Solana page.
