OKX is listing three USDT-margined perpetual futures on stocks on Nov. 4: MURATA, OXY and SMR. The first, MURATA/USDT, goes live at 12:30 AM ET (05:30 UTC), according to the exchange's announcement.
Details
The schedule in Eastern Time: MURATA/USDT at 12:30 AM, OXY/USDT at 3:30 AM and SMR/USDT at 3:45 AM.
Per OKX, the contracts trade 24/7 and settle in USDT. The funding rate is clamped between −1.00% and 1.00% and settles every eight hours; if it hits the cap or floor, settlement switches to hourly. The announcement does not state maximum leverage, and availability depends on the user's region, which OKX says to check in its app.
What this means for the market
Stock perpetuals let traders take a position on a share overnight or on weekends, when the underlying market is closed. It continues a trend: last week Binance listed perps on Pfizer, Amgen, MercadoLibre and three more, and on Nov. 2 OKX opened five similar contracts. There is no direct effect on bitcoin; the exchange is widening its derivatives menu. For the live BTC price, see the daily brief. This is not investment advice.
