OKX will list five USDT-margined perpetual futures on stocks on Nov. 2: ADI, FLEX, MELI, PEP and UMC. The first contract goes live at 6:30 AM ET (11:30 UTC), with the rest following every 15 minutes, according to the exchange's announcement.
Details
The schedule in Eastern Time: ADI/USDT at 6:30 AM, FLEX/USDT at 6:45, MELI/USDT at 7:00, PEP/USDT at 7:15 and UMC/USDT at 7:30.
Per OKX, the contracts trade 24/7. The funding rate settles every eight hours, and if it hits its cap or floor, adjustment switches to hourly. The announcement does not state maximum leverage, and availability depends on the user's region, which OKX says to check in its app.
What this means for the market
Stock perpetuals let traders take a position on a share overnight or on weekends, when the underlying market is closed. It continues a trend: last week Binance listed perps on Pfizer, Amgen, MercadoLibre and three more. There is no direct effect on bitcoin; this widens the exchange's derivatives menu. For the live BTC price, see the daily brief. This is not investment advice.
