Glassnode: US ether ETFs log 23 straight days of outflows
Glassnode says US spot ether ETFs posted net outflows for 23 straight trading days, the longest run since launch. October outflows topped $1 billion.

Blockchain analytics firm Glassnode says US spot ether ETFs have recorded net outflows for 23 consecutive trading days, the longest such streak since the funds launched in July 2024. Media reports put the run through Oct. 30, 2026.
Details
According to write-ups of the report by Crypto Briefing and PANews, Glassnode ties the outflows to weaker demand from traditional-finance investors who bought ether heavily in August and September. The funds lost more than $1 billion in October alone. Crypto Briefing also cites $155.8 million of outflows on Oct. 30, of which $76.6 million came from BlackRock's ETHA. We could not locate Glassnode's original post, so these figures are attributed to the media reports.
Our SoSoValue data counts the streak differently. The flows table shows an inflow of $15.0 million on Oct. 21 and $4.3 million on Oct. 23, so by that data the unbroken run of outflows started Oct. 26. The gap likely reflects different data sources at Glassnode and SoSoValue. Either way, inflows were small: most days from Oct. 1 to 29 ended in outflows, the largest being $201.9 million on Oct. 6.
What this means for the market
A streak this long shows institutional demand for ether through ETFs remains weak, even though media reports put total fund assets above $13 billion. It is a source of pressure on ether's price, but not the only one: the Binance hack and broader sentiment matter too. For the live price, see /en/coins/ethereum/.
