Circle Discloses USDC Revenue Split: $819M to Partners and Costs in H1 2026
Circle reported $1.4B in H1 2026 revenue, allocating $819M to USDC distribution partners and costs, while USDC captured 77% of global stablecoin volume.

Circle Internet Group has disclosed the revenue breakdown for USDC in the first half of 2026. The company reported approximately $1.4 billion in total revenue, of which $819 million went to distribution partners and transaction costs. Another $473 million was reinvested in infrastructure, compliance, and product development, leaving a net profit of roughly 7 cents per dollar of revenue, the company said.

The distribution cost figure — roughly 58% of total revenue — underscores how central partner networks are to Circle's business model. The company's Chief Operating Officer defended the structure in a statement: "That reinvestment is not overhead. It is what makes USDC useful, and it reflects more than 8 years of building."
USDC continued to outpace rivals in the stablecoin sector. Circle reported that the token processed more than $36 trillion in onchain transaction volume during the first half. In June 2026, USDC captured approximately 77% of global stablecoin transaction volume, up from 60% a year earlier. Standard Chartered separately estimated that stablecoin monthly transfer value averaged nearly $10 trillion throughout 2026.
Circle is scheduled to release its third-quarter 2026 financial results on November 4. William Blair analysts said Circle is positioned to benefit from a broader crypto market recovery supported by regulatory clarity and growing tokenized-asset activity.
What This Means for Markets
The high distribution cost share explains why USDC's competitive footing depends heavily on partnership deals — most notably with Coinbase, through whose products much of the supply circulates. It also explains why Circle cannot retain proportionally higher margins even as reserve yields grow.
Controlling 77% of stablecoin transaction volume is a meaningful shift. A year ago USDT's dominance in turnover was uncontested; now Circle effectively leads in onchain activity. For USDC as infrastructure, this strengthens Circle's hand with regulators — especially after the EBA designated USDC as the EU's first significant e-money token under MiCA earlier this week.
