Bitcoin ETFs Draw $176M on Oct. 13 as Ether ETFs End 10-Day Outflows
US spot bitcoin ETFs took in $175.6M on Oct. 13, led by Fidelity's FBTC. Ether ETFs added $24.8M, snapping a ten-session outflow streak that began Sept. 29.

US spot bitcoin ETFs took in $175.6 million on Tuesday, October 13, a day after losing $65.4 million. Fidelity's FBTC led with $103.1 million. Spot ether ETFs added $24.8 million the same day, their first positive session since September 29, ending a ten-session outflow streak. The bitcoin figures come from Trader T data cited by KuCoin News and from Crypto Briefing, citing The Block; SoSoValue rounds the day to $176 million. The tallies were published late Tuesday evening ET.
Details
Three of the twelve bitcoin funds saw money come in: FBTC with $103.1 million, BlackRock's IBIT with $65.9 million and Morgan Stanley's MSBT with $6.7 million. Grayscale's GBTC and the rest were flat, KuCoin News reports. IBIT flipped sign overnight: on Monday it accounted for the entire outflow. SoSoValue data puts total bitcoin ETF assets at $106.99 billion, or 6.38% of bitcoin's market cap, with cumulative net inflows of $57.22 billion since January 2024. FBTC's cumulative inflow now stands at $10.62 billion, IBIT's at $65.73 billion.
On the ether side, two of eleven products drew money: Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust took in $16.7 million and Fidelity's FETH $8.1 million. BlackRock's ETHA, which shed $75.1 million on October 12, was flat this time, as were ETHE and ETHW, according to KuCoin News and TechFlow. Ether ETFs hold $15.83 billion, or 5.16% of ethereum's market cap, with cumulative net inflows of $13.2 billion.
What it means for the market
Tuesday's inflow was nearly three times Monday's outflow and the best day for the funds since October 2, when they drew $189.8 million. Who bought matters too: FBTC and MSBT, flat for days, drew money again, so demand reached beyond IBIT. One session is not a trend, though. Since October 5 the funds are still down roughly $570 million on net. Bitcoin itself remains range-bound; it traded near $83,600 as of 2:20 AM ET on October 14, and the live price is on the daily dashboard.
For ether the inflow is modest, $24.8 million against $85.4 million of redemptions the day before, and it came through smaller Grayscale and Fidelity products rather than ETHA, the largest fund. The streak is broken, but that alone does not signal a return of big institutional buyers. For how to read these numbers, and why one fund can set the day's result, see our ETF flows explainer.
