US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $23.2M on Oct. 20, led by IBIT's $29.9M. Ether ETFs lost $26.1M, a fifth straight day of outflows.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of $23.16 million on Oct. 20 (Eastern time), according to SoSoValue data. That is a modest figure after the $526.6 million taken in a day earlier. Spot Ether funds, meanwhile, shed $26.13 million.
Details
BlackRock accounted for the whole inflow: IBIT added $29.86 million. Fidelity's FBTC took in another $3.58 million. The only fund with outflows was Bitwise's BITB, which lost $10.29 million. The rest, including Grayscale's GBTC and BTC, ARK 21Shares' ARKB and VanEck's HODL, saw no flows on the day. The figures are collected in CoinLab's ETF flows table, and SoSoValue publishes the daily total.
Cumulative net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs since launch stand above $57.4 billion in our data, with about $106 billion in assets under management. For context, Oct. 19 brought in $526.6 million, the best day in a month, while Oct. 16 saw $82.4 million leave.
Ether ETFs posted $26.13 million of outflows, a fifth straight trading day in the red. In our data, about $389 million left the funds between Oct. 14 and Oct. 20, from $129.5 million on Oct. 14 down to $26.1 million on Oct. 20. Wu Blockchain also published the figures, citing SoSoValue.
What this means for the market
After the large Oct. 19 inflow, demand for Bitcoin ETFs cooled noticeably, but outflows did not return: the day stayed positive. Flows rested almost entirely on one issuer, as they did a day earlier.
The picture is weaker for Ether: the outflow streak has run all week, although the daily amounts are shrinking. Fund flows are one factor among many and do not predict price. For the live price see the daily briefing; for more on the assets, see the Bitcoin and Ethereum pages.
