Spot bitcoin ETFs add $24.5M while ether ETFs shed $88.6M

US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $24.5M in net inflows on Oct 27, according to SoSoValue. Spot ether ETFs, by contrast, posted net outflows of $88.6M.

Details

In the bitcoin segment, the entire inflow came from Fidelity's FBTC: $24.5M. The other funds, including Grayscale's GBTC and BTC as well as BITB, ARKB and HODL, show zero flow for the day, while BlackRock's IBIT had not yet reported a figure. Total net assets of bitcoin ETFs stand near $103.2B, with cumulative inflows since launch of about $57.3B. Fund-by-fund tables are on our ETF flows page.

The ether ETF data in SoSoValue carries an Oct 26 date: net outflows of $88.6M. The largest contributor was $104.7M leaving BlackRock's ETHA, partly offset by $16.1M flowing into Fidelity's FETH. Ether ETF net assets are about $14.1B.

What this means for the market

A near-flat net figure for bitcoin ETFs points to subdued institutional demand: one fund gathered assets while the rest were unchanged. Ether funds, meanwhile, keep losing money. The day's numbers may be revised once all issuers report. For the live price and context, see the daily brief; coin pages: Bitcoin and Ethereum.
