Amundi launches tokenized STOXX Europe 600 share class on Ethereum

Amundi, Europe's largest asset manager, announced on November 5, 2026 the launch of a tokenized share class of its STOXX Europe 600 index fund. The shares are issued on the public Ethereum blockchain, with CACEIS providing the tokenization infrastructure.

The fund tracks the STOXX Europe 600 index, which covers 600 large-, mid- and small-cap companies across developed European markets. According to Cointelegraph and France Transactions, the new class sits alongside existing ones, and the fund stays available through traditional distribution channels. The size of the tokenized class has not been disclosed.

Amundi said it plans to build a broader range of tokenized funds for institutional clients and digital platforms, citing faster settlement, accessibility and operational efficiency. The company had earlier tokenized a money market fund: in November 2025, Amundi and CACEIS put a share class of it on Ethereum. The move takes the firm from short-term cash management into broad equity index strategies, as Markets Media also notes.

Cointelegraph reports that the tokenized stocks market reached $4.24 billion as of November 4, 2026, up 27% over 30 days, with US-linked assets dominating the top 10 products.

What it means for the market

The launch shows tokenization on Ethereum moving beyond money market funds and treasuries: classic equity index funds from large European managers are now arriving on the network. For Ethereum it is another institutional use case, though without disclosed volumes its scale is impossible to judge.
